Digitalization is changing the way companies are organized and managed. Digital technologies also open up business opportunities to create sustainable competitive advantages. But what are the key success factors? Although this knowledge is of enormous relevance for management practice and policy making, so far extant research has not provided much insight.
In order to close this gap, three extensive empirical research projects have been conducted in which a total of around 3,000 CEOs and decision-makers were involved. With these three studies, insights are provided into how digital transformation, digital innovation and digital entrepreneurship can be explained in organizations. One focus is on the shareholder structure of companies, especially the influence of family ownership. Dr. Jonas Soluk from WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management (Entrepreneurship and Innovation Group) presents the research results of these three projects in a video.
